The 2016 version is a remake, but there are some differences. In this version, the town of Rose Creek is under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue and his men. After Bogue kills local Matthew Cullen, his now-widow Emma seeks to liberate the town from Bogue and his small army. She hires seven men from different backgrounds to help her.
