Cleveland Dietz is a copy editor for Cloudwards. His role involves checking articles’ grammar, spelling, punctuation, voice and style before they go through the final edit.
Background & Education
Cleveland Dietz graduated from Indiana University — Purdue University Indianapolis in the top 10% of his class with a B.A. in Journalism.
Cleveland worked as the general manager of WFHB Community Radio until 2016 when he kickstarted his career as a freelance editor and writer. In this capacity, he first worked in print, then moved on to writing and editing online. He has written mainly in the tech and personal finance niches as a freelance writer.
He has also worked as a grants and foundations relations manager for a public media organization. His role was to secure grants in support of the arts, education and journalism.
As a copy editor, Cleveland enjoys the process of helping writers hone their work to make sure the finished product is the best it can possibly be, which also contributes greatly to the reader’s experience. He currently copy edits for Cloudwards, where his journalistic experience, eye for detail and knowledge of the tech niche are highly valued.
