pCloud Starts Offering Lifetime Plans, Public Folders

If you’re a regular reader of Cloudwards.net you probably know that we’re big fans of pCloud (if you want to know why, make sure to read our pCloud review). It’s one of the best cloud storage providers out there and we feel confident in recommending it to just about anybody.

Today, pCloud announced two new features that should give consumers even more reason to check out this Swiss provider. First up is a new public folder, which works much like the one used by archrival Dropbox (pCloud is one of our top Dropbox alternatives) and should facilitate and speed up sharing and collaboration.

pCloud subscribers will now be able to hotlink directly to and from this new public folder, allowing them to basically host static websites, images and even videos directly from their cloud storage. It’s a pretty nifty feature and will likely prove a boon to SMB owners or freelancers that want a quick and dirty fix to get content out to the wider world.

pCloud Lifetime Subscriptions

On top of that, pCloud fans will from now on be able to sign up for life to their favorite storage service. Rather than pay monthly or per year, you now have the option of paying a massively discounted fee and be able to make use of the 500GB and 2TB plans forever. As pCloud is a stable company that is likely to be around for a long time, this seems like a great way to get indefinite storage.

500GB of storage for life will only set you back $125, while 2TB will cost you $250. In essence, by paying two-and-a-half years in advance, you’re getting an infinite number of years’ worth of storage. If your storage needs are even remotely long-term, this is a great deal that walks away with the Cloudwards.net seal of approval.

pCloud is definitely gearing up for a rosy future and we recommend that our readers check out the service’s 30-day free trial on pCloud and see for themselves what all the hubbub is about. Chances are you’ll like what you see and sign up for life.

  1. It’s a nice service, but when I contacted support asking them about the failures I was getting when connecting with my Synology NAS over WebDav they just finger pointed Synology saying everything works fine on their side…
    Support can improve…

  2. Please mention that hotlink feature is available for the premium users only but not free users.

    Thank you.
